Mountain Biking

Buffed endless downhills, grueling climbs, fast rollers and technical problems that rattle your teeth-- all the ingredients found in real mountain biking!  OWA's mountain bike programs offer instruction and application on some of the finest terrain in the world under the guidance of experienced riders, racers and mechanics. Since 1986 OWA has introduced many to the whole realm of real mountain biking and has helped numerous individuals develop their skills to the highest level. In addition to the introductory and moderate riding and skills found in our Adventure Skills and Mt. Bike/Rock programs, more extensive skill develpment can be found up to the advanced skills and long rides that are part of COLORADO BIKE CAMP, MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE CAMP, and POWER BIKE (which combines the two).

Colorado Mountain Bike Camp focusses on developing the full range of skills needed to really be able to ride confidently on a variety of terrain and in sometimes remote locations. Instruction is offered in technical riding skills, fitness, and bike mechanic skills. Riding is on our fabulous terrain (mostly single track) in the Base Camp area on our favorite trails including Rampart Reservoir, Salt Creek, Spruce Grove and the Colorado Trail.  Nights are spent at Base Camp with comfortable bunks, hot showers and great meals.  Since you can only ride so much...........there are other activities available including rock climbing, fly fishing, etc. OWA can provide bikes, helmets, shoes and pedals but participants are encouraged to bring their own.    Basic riding experience required.  A great program to combine with Race Camp allowing a week for acclimation. July 20-July 29, 2008; $1450
