Texas Multi-pitch Climbing Course!
For the climber that wants to take their skills to long multi-pitch climbs. Enchanted Rock is the best place in Texas to learn and practice the techniques required for efficient Multi-pitch climbing. Our guides can provide hands on and detailed instruction on the finer points of moving quickly and safely on long routes.
Successful completion of this course and displayed mastery of the skills involved automatically qualifies you to take Wind Rivers Alpine Rock and Colorado Multi-pitch Climbing Course found here.
Our Lead Climbing Clinic, Anchor Building Clinic, or equivalent experience is recommended before booking this trip (contact us if you have questions)

A 10 percent discount will be given to Non-Profit organizations. Documentation of Non-Profit status is required.
We have several Eagle Scouts on our staff, including James Faerber, Sam Whitley and Paul Taylor. We love be able to offer the Rock Climbing Merit Badge to Boy Scout Troops looking to fulfill the requirements for the BSA climbing Merit Badge more information on the rock climbing merit badge can be found here.

- We maintain a 5:1 client to guide ratio and limit all groups at Enchanted Rock to 20 people total. It is very difficult to accomadate groups larger than 20 while protecting the resource, staying in one area and providing space for other park users.

Outpost Wilderness Adventure is the oldest and most experienced outdoor adventure guide service in Central Texas. Rock climbing and mountain biking are abundant in the Hill Country of Texas. ½ day to weekend trips are available for all ages. We are the Enchanted Rock climbing guide experts offering courses for first time climbers and experienced climbers looking to gain new skills. We teach the most technically advanced courses offered in the Texas Hill Country and having been leading trips since 1979, Outpost Wilderness took our first clients to Enchanted rock for a guided trips in the early 1980’s, we pride ourselves in having been around longer and being the most experienced climbing guide service at Enchanted Rock. We offer private guiding, climbing clinics and group outings.
The majority of trips are located at Reimer’s Ranch, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, Reveille Peak Ranch and the Green Belt in Austin Texas. These trips meet on location in the parks and usually start around 9am. We can customize the time and trip to fit your needs. OWA founder David Appleton likewise began instructing mountain biking courses and clinics in the late 1980’s which led to OWA guiding trips and leading courses throughout Central Texas. The winter mountain biking in Texas is absolutely amazing with multiple venues throughout Central Texas we would love to lead you or work on skills. Most of our cycling courses are taught by OWA director James Faerber a Cat 1 racer and accomplished mountain bike guide or Cindy Abbott a seasoned racer who currently holds a Pro license.

OWA operates on public lands under permits through the United States Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, Colorado State Parks and National Park Service.
