Snug as a bugOh, to the bag with skin so soft,

Filled with light feathers of down

That wraps me up as I loft

With a hood that goes around.

Oh, to the bag that feels like home

With a smell that brings great comfort

Of dirt, forest, and times when we roam

It brings joy as I slumber

Oh, to the bag that makes me feel free from danger

Zipped up in a protective sleeve

Away from bears, mice, that creepy looking stranger,

And the cold caused by the breeze.

Oh, to the bag that accompanies all trips

From days spent sleeping in the car

To nights up on mountain cliffs

After journeying very far

Oh, to the bag covered in morning dew

Laid out while the stars shined bright

That hangs around when degrees are few

Packed in a sack nice and tight

Oh, to the bag that’s always near

When it’s time to get out and play

Thanks for the memories year after year

Can’t wait to snuggle up on another day.
