Dale graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Recreation Management in 2005. The last several years Dale has worked in Utah, Idaho, and Colorado at various outdoor education centers guiding trips and managing groups. Dale has also worked in New York running elder hostel trips. He is an avid climber, snowboarder, and a budding mountain bike racer finishing top 5 in several sport class races in June of 2009. This spring Dale guided multi-day whitewater trips in Moab, Utah. Last summer Dale and his wife Salle hiked 1400 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Dale previously led climbing and backpacking trips for OWA. Dale is the Associate directore (in charge of Programing for the Summer of 2009) he is a great addition to the OWA team and we look forward to having work with us for years to come.
