  • Day 1 –Arrive or meet at Denver International Airport; transfer to Lander city park where we camp for the night and pack our backpacks. We make a trip into town and purchase and buy any last minute food items or supplies for our trips into the Winds the next morning.
  • Day 2 — We wake up early and transfer to Pinto Park near Worthen Resvervoir, we hike approx 7-9 miles and camp for the night, teaching navigation and route finding along the way.
  • Day 3 –Today we review the plan for climbing opportunities and backpacking 5-8 miles to the our camp near Cirque of the Towers, sightseeing, fishing and photography are all opportunities for today.
  • Day 4 –Today is our climbing day with multiple opportunities to ascend a variety of objectives in the Cirque, most of the group will focus on an ascent of Pingora, early start to the day! There is also fishing and hiking options.
  • Day 5- We have our second climbing day and have an opportunity to try a route on Wolfs head or another nearby formation.
  • Day 6 -We leave the Cirque area and move to Sanford Park, opportunities for fly fishing,photography and lots of amazing views.
  • Day 7 -We hike back towards Stough Creek from the Sanford Park area and camp near the trail.
  • Day 8–This is our last day in the backcountry and we spend time hiking out with opportunities for photography and fishing as we move. We return to Louis Lake Lodge for a much deserved shower and then we drive partway back to Denver.
  • Day 9- We depart Wyoming early in order to make flights home from Denver international airport!
